Miski Travels LLC  Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: March 11, 2025

1. Booking & Payments

At Miski Travels, every journey is customized to you. To confirm your trip, a non-refundable deposit (as stated in your invoice) is required to begin securing accommodations, guides, and services.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. For bookings made within 60 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or zelle. Your booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received and you receive a written confirmation from Miski Travels.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Because we work directly with local hotels and operators to customize your experience, deposits are non-refundable and immediately applied toward securing services.

If you cancel after the final payment, refunds (if any) will depend on our partners’ policies and the timing of cancellation. We will always do our best to recover as much as possible on your behalf.

Below is a general guideline:

  • 61+ days before departure: Deposit non-refundable; partial refund of any recoverable balance after non-refundable costs.

  • 31–60 days before departure: Up to 50% refund of recoverable costs, excluding deposit.

  • 0–30 days before departure: Non-refundable.

Refunds are processed once Miski Travels receives confirmation from local partners regarding recoverable amounts. Credit card fees, bank charges, and any non-recoverable costs (such as train tickets, flights, or Machu Picchu entrance fees) are not refundable.

3. Postponements & Date Changes

We understand plans can change. If you prefer to postpone rather than cancel, we’ll work closely with our local partners to rebook your trip for future travel dates. Most hotels and service providers allow one free postponement, with only non-refundable costs (e.g., Machu Picchu tickets, train fees, or airline penalties) carried over. New rates may apply if suppliers have updated their pricing for the new travel dates.

4. Travel Documents & Traveler Responsibilities

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all entry requirements, including valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and other travel documents. Miski Travels will provide guidance and reminders but cannot be held liable for denied entry or additional costs resulting from missing or invalid documents.

It is the traveler’s responsibility to review all itinerary details, inclusions, and confirmations carefully upon receipt and notify Miski Travels of any discrepancies.

5. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your investment. Your policy should cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, evacuation, and lost or damaged baggage. Miski Travels cannot issue refunds for unused services due to illness, flight delays, or unforeseen circumstances, so insurance helps safeguard your trip.

6. Liability & Acknowledgement of Risk

Miski Travels acts solely as an intermediary between travelers and local suppliers (including hotels, guides, and transport providers). We carefully vet our partners but are not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, injuries, losses, or expenses beyond our control.

By booking a trip, you acknowledge that travel carries inherent risks, including natural events, political instability, health hazards, or logistical changes. Miski Travels reserves the right to modify itineraries when necessary due to weather, safety concerns, or partner availability, always keeping your best interests in mind.

7. Force Majeure

Miski Travels is not liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms & Conditions if prevented by events outside our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, political unrest, war, or government actions. In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or secure credits for future travel but cannot guarantee refunds for non-recoverable services.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of California.

9. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of a deposit or any part of your trip cost constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
